Half-way into the campaign, over 7 million forints have been raised, with international swimmers pulling off a great campaign

This year 110 swimmers swim for six causes in the framework of the Swimathon 2018 campaign, the third such event in a row, organized by the Ferencváros Community Foundation. Six of the swimmers are from abroad; some of them live in the district, including Saad Douyal from Morocco, who lives and works in Budapest, or Martin Fisher from England, who has lived in Central Ferencváros for many years and who has taken part in many of the organizer FCF’s fundraising events. We will also have two guests travelling miles to complete their swimming challenge: Eugenie Harvey, who shared a lot of knowledge with the host organization as part of the support of The Funding Network; Karoline Friebel from Germany; and Jan Despiegelaere“Drowning Man” who will travel to Budapest from Belgium and who has raised the most funds so far. Last but not least, there is a brave American university student as well among the swimmers, Madison Kelleywho is currently working as an intern at Roots and Wings Foundation, an organization that aims to further the development of community foundations in Hungary. We are very proud of all of our international swimmers, thank you for all the support from abroad! You may find their introductions here and also the links through which you can support he causes that they are swimming for, which takes only a few minutes and a couple of clicks!
